Our Infrastructure
JSNC Offers
JSNC's researchers have expertise in a wide variety of laboratory assays and working with specimens of many types and origins (human postmortem brain samples and mouse/rat brains - freshly frozen or fixated, serums, DNA extracts, etc.).
Our laboratory infrastructures include:
-
Animal behavior (cognitive assessments are performed in a designated room, equipped with video tracking hardware and compatible software)
-
Cell cultures
-
Cryostat microtome (cryochamber temperature 0°C to -35°C; section thickness 1-60 µm)
-
Electrophoresis
-
Enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA)
-
Fluorescence microscope
-
Genotyping
-
Immunohistochemistry (IHC), including immunofluorescence
-
PCR
-
Protein immunoblotting (Western blot)
Sheba Offers
The JSNC collaborates, on everyday-basis, with numerous departments and labs within the Sheba Medical Center. This allows the JSNC the availability of a wide variety of advanced research techniques and pools of clinical materials.
